How To Improve Your Voice
Are you unsatisfied with your voice or your speech? Have people commented that they cannot understand you well when you speak? Here are some ways you can improve your voice and your speech.
Record And Analyze Your Voice
Use a microphone on your phone, sit in a noise-free environment and record your voice. Speak in a casual tone as you do with friends and family. Then play the recording and hear your voice.
Do you speak too fast?
Is the tone of your voice too soft that it is inaudible
Is your speech unclear?
Do you have a speech hindrance?
Use A Higher Pitch To Emphasize Points
When speaking, try to maintain a neutral tone in your voice. When emphasizing something or expressing emotions, you may change the tone of your voice and raise the pitch a little
Stay Hydrated
Our vocal chords can become dehydrated if they are being used for an extended time, such as when you are singing or have just delivered a speech. Avoid drinking tea or coffee. Water is the best to hydrate and lubricate your vocal cords. You might add apple cider vinegar to clear your throat as well.
Practice, Practice and Practice!
Practice makes perfect. Record and hear your speech regularly. Hearing yourself can help improve your speech and fine-tune your voice.
